Core5 Selects Cushman & Wakefield’s Atlanta Industrial Team
Cushman & Wakefield’s Pat Murphy and Ray Stache Lead Leasing Efforts
ATLANTA, Jan. 07, 2015 – Cushman & Wakefield’s Atlanta industrial team has been selected by Core5 Industrial Partners to provide agency leasing services for Core5’s recently announced, 873,800-square-foot state-of-the-art distribution building in Fairburn, Ga.
Core5, an Atlanta-based real estate firm focused on development and acquisition of Class A industrial properties, announced earlier this month that it has broken ground on the building on Bohannon Road to be called Core5 Logistics Center at Shugart Farms. The building will deliver in August 2016.
The development is the first for the new company, formed by industry vets Tim Gunter, Linda Booker and Lisa Ward in conjunction with Kajima USA. Gunter, Booker and Ward were formerly executives with IDI, a development company Kajima sold in October 2013.
Cushman & Wakefield has dedicated a five-person team to the project, led by Senior Managing Director Pat Murphy and Senior Director Ray Stache. Murphy, who is a 30-year industrial market veteran, leads Cushman and Wakefield’s Industrial Agency team in Atlanta, while Stache also has 30 years of experience representing tenants and a reputation for handling some of Atlanta’s largest industrial tenants.
James Philpott, Lisa Pittman and Cassie Hanavich will round out the Cushman & Wakefield team, combining professionals from both the tenant representation and agency leasing practices to form a unique multidiscipline collaboration.
“For this assignment, we felt like we needed a team that combined the disciplines of listing and tenant rep professionals,” Murphy said. “Ray’s team is clearly a leader in the Southeast for big-box tenant requirements. Combining that expertise with our proven agency strategy will yield the results Core5 is looking for.”
Stache added, “Because this is Core5’s first building, we felt it was important to not only formulate a strategy to market and lease the building, but also to market Core5 and assist in its branding efforts. The track record of Core5’s principals speaks for itself, but launching a new company is an endeavor where we felt we could really add value.”
